Candidates

Binadicta - Bindi and Sweeping the Chimmnies Brown Barth (Igen – November 2008)
Shy, quiet and a bit on the frail looking side it might be a wonder how Binadicta was searched at all. This girl from Eastern must have spend an awful lot of time indoors for as pale as she is, but given that her free time is most often spend with a book rather than with others its not all that surprising. Boy is her completion in for a shock when it meets Igen’s sun.

Dacian - D'ain and Brown Duiumelth (Ista - March 2009 NPC Hatching)
Dacian is the oldest, but he only beat out Deynx by a little less than five minute. He’s part one of the dynamic duo. Hailing from nearby Big Bay, the pair are the only children of the family. Their father a beastcrafter and their mother a healer, parental occupations left them open to many in interesting ‘experiment’. With brown hair and big brown eyes he’s an exact double of his twin, and the two take special care to make sure they are easily mistaken for one another. More interested in making girl’s scream than flirting with them, creepy crawlies are definitely up this pair’s alley. He was left standing at Igen (Winter 2008), and impressed at Ista (NPC Hatching) on day 7 of week 4 of the second month of summer in the turn 2680 to become D'ian rider of Brown Duiumelth.

Deynx - D'ynx and Blue Oeelmith (Ista - March 2009 NPC Hatching)
Deynx is the youngest, but he was only beaten out by Dacian by a little less than five minute. He’s part two of the dynamic duo. He was left standing at Igen (Winter 2008), and impressed to a blue at Ista (NPC Hatching) on day 7 of week 4 of the second month of summer in the turn 2680 to become D'ynx.

Florena
A trader girl, with dark black-brown hair and coffee & cream colored skin, from Benden way Florena is perhaps one of the youngest candidates of the group. Both her mother, Rosalind, and father, Grenville are a part of the trader train she grew up in and the switch to being a candidate has been… interesting. She's an easygoing, curious girl - though sometimes her curiosity gets the better of her. That old saying 'Curiosity killed the cat,' well that just might apply to Florena as well. She's got a habit of flipping what she calls her lucky mark. Oh! And she tried to lick, yes -LICK-, an egg while a group was on the sands only to be caught by Dhonzayth and be kicked off the sands for the remainder of the touching.

Fordel
A young man just shy of twenty turns, Fordel isn’t so much lazy as not willing to but 100% into anything that can be done with less. Why waste the energy? Product of a love tryst between and Igen bronzerider and one of the headwoman’s assistants, he’s a bit of a looker and he knows it. It’s not his first time as a candidate, nor will it be the first time he’s caught with liquor on his breath. He’s something of a connoisseur of all things alcoholic. He’s more one for the night life (if there is such a thing for a candidate) than a morning person and chances are he’ll be the last to bed and late for breakfast on a regular basis.

Lilibet - Lilibet and Green Onoith (Ista - March 2009 NPC Hatching)
Lilibet is a willowy woman of average height. Her skin holds a healthy beige color. Long, straight, plum brown hair hangs at the middle of her shoulderblades, black eyes peering out at the world from around her bangs.

Lilibet was born at Nerat Hold to Assistant Stewart Oralia. Her father, J'mas rider of Blue Lalth, was rarely around as is rather common with such pairings. All the same the girl grew into a motivated young woman, if one who has become known to delaying and procrastinating in crucial moments. Somewhere along the way joined the minercraft and eventually she came to be a candidate at Ista Weyr in the turn 2680. There she almost missed her own impression being the very last to the sands when the hatching began. Blue Onoith bowled her over and the pair were quickly ushered off the sands in hopes of keeping the sickness that was spreading through the weyr's dragons from reaching the new weyrlings. And so on day 7 of week 4 of the second month of summer Lilibet found a new place as a blue rider at Ista.

Paxtun
The middle son of a small time holder near Igen proper, one might think Paxtun is Lord Holder of Igen himself the way he likes to parade about. On the short end of the spectrum at only five five, he sees himself as a lady’s man though his ‘charming’ ways may tend to earn him a slap to the face sooner than a goodnight kiss. He’ll do his best to get anyone else do ‘help’ with his chores (which means do for him). “Do these hands look like they wash dishes? I think not.” He’s a bit of a perfectionist, though someone else will have to do the dirty work. Authoritative and tight-fisted with a touch of anger-management problems, he has a knack for business but not much else.

Rueine - Ru'ne and Rapture of the Jungle Green Oberath (Igen – November 2008)
An apprentice weaver, if there’s one thing this brunette is good with it’s a needle and thread. Middling in age for a candidate the young woman is cheerful and pleasant. Need help with that mending? Candidate robe? No problem Rueine will be more than happy to give a hand.

Steshinka
If Pern had cheerleaders, Stea would be at the top of the list. Bright and bubbly with a bit of a mean streak when she’s worked up, Steshinka is your stereotypical redhead. A starsmith by trade, she’ll talk your ear off if you’ll let her about anything from why it rains to the newest innovations in stargazing tech and it doesn’t matter if you have a clue what she’s talking about or not.
